First Appointments.

It is helpful if you could arrive few minutes early for your first appointment as we will need to take your details to create a record for you before seeing the dentist. New patients to the practice can expect to receive a full examination on their first appointment including a check on the health of their gums and soft tissues in addition to their teeth. X-rays may also be taken where appropriate to check for any early cavities which may not be apparent by visual examination and to look for other problems such as infection and bone loss around the teeth.

At the end of your examination we will discuss with you the options available. Once we have agreed a course of action we will provide you with a treatment plan detailing the necessary treatment and the costs involved.

Emergency Appointments

If you need an urgent appointment due to a dental emergency please telephone the surgery as early as possible. If you call early in the morning we will usually be able to offer an appointment to see you on the same day if necessary, and for less urgent problems within 48 hours.

Outside of our normal surgery hours – call the NHS Freephone number 111.

Health & Safety

The practice is committed to ensuring that all our patients are cared for in a clean and safe environment. We use the latest vacuum autoclaves to ensure instruments are sterilized after each use and where possible use disposable items.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an appointment please contact the surgery at least 24 hours in advance. This gives us the opportunity to offer your appointment to someone else who may need urgent treatment. We may make a charge for appointments if you fail to attend or do not give adequate notice.
