Invisalign Aligners

The Invisalign system allows you to transform your smile discreetly and comfortably with virtually invisible removable braces.

Invisalign aligners are transparent and custom-made to gradually straighten your teeth without using any metal wires or brackets.

The aligners look like clear, flexible retainers and are removable, so you can take them out when eating or brushing your teeth.

If you’re considering braces to straighten your teeth, there are discreet options available

How Invisalign works

Here’s a step-by-step guide to Invisalign treatment

At your first appointment we’ll help you decide your course of treatment. The dentist will take bite impressions of your teeth and send them to Invisalign.

Making your aligners

3D imaging technology is used to transform your bite impressions into a custom-made series of clear and removable aligners. There may be as many as 48 in the series or as few as 12, depending on your requirements.

Receive your aligners

During your next visit, you will receive your first set of aligners. Your dentist will probably give you a few additional sets for you to wear before you return for your next visit.

Wear your aligners

You’ll wear each set of the aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. You’ll need to visit your dentist every six weeks to check that your treatment is progressing as planned. The total treatment time averages from 12 to 18 months1.

Finish your treatment

Your treatment ends when you have worn each set of aligners. To help keep your bright new smile, you will wear retainers at night for six months, and then usually a few times a week as instructed by your dentist.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Virtually invisible

Unlike traditional braces, the Invisalign system doesn’t use wires or brackets. The clear aligners are virtually invisible, so it’s barely noticeable that you’re having your teeth straightened.

Comfortable

The transparent aligners are flexible and custom-made for a comfortable fit. They’re removable too, so you’ll find it easy to brush your teeth and eat normally during treatment.

See your finished smile

Invisalign treatment uses ClinCheck 3D imaging technology,to assess your teeth and create your customised aligners.

Before your treatment starts, your orthodontist will be able to show you a digital representation of how your teeth should look once you finish your treatment.
